Tidal Artist Haven Pride 2020
We’re excited to celebrate our first Pride with you. True, this isn’t the state of the world we imagined for June either but here we are. To help us all stay in the spirit we have some special things lined up! Check out our events, Zine call for submissions and how to support our Pride Fundraiser:

CALL FOR ART: First Annual Pride Zine
Tidal Artist Haven is creating an electronic zine for Pride month to show that the 2SLGBTQIA+ community can still celebrate our victories and fight for our rights even if without a parade. Choose works that celebrate your gender and/or sexuality; advocate for equality for marginalized groups at home and abroad; reimagine a world or future without homophobia/queerphobia/transphobia; share with future generations how we held our communities together during a global pandemic; or all of the above! We are especially interested in work from queer and trans people of color!
Submission guidelines:
*only submit your own work
*keep it PG-13 (no genitals, hard swears, hard drugs, or gore)
*maximum 5 pieces/images (including details) *max length for literary pieces: 1000 words
*for 2D visual art provide high quality scans or photographs of your work (300ppi) watermarked with “Tidal Artist Haven Pride 2020” across the left vertical margin of the piece and your name & copyright year in the lower right corner
*include a bio (100-200 words), website and social media details, and head-shot or logo (or a link to something we can copy that includes this information)
*Tidal Artist Haven will not use work submitted for this project for anything unrelated to the project without permission email submission to curator@tidalartisthaven.org by June 20th at 5pm Pacific time with the subject “TAH Pride zine”

To commemorate “the year there almost wasn’t a Pride” we are raising funds by the sale of our Pride 2020 T-shirts and Merch. Items featuring artwork designed in collaboration by our resident artists will be available at www.redbubble.com/people/TidalArtist. A portion of the sales from this fundraiser will be set aside specifically for scholarships for low income students wishing to participate in the above events.
